Darks on the Hydrangea

I've had to spend some time away from my studio and I'm beyond eager to get back into the swing of this latest piece.  I'm picking up where I left off by continuing to scrub in the darks, hopefully creating a nice shade off of which light will pop from petals just where I want!  I've also simultaneously been working on creating a dynamic between blues and yellows, which I'm finding incredibly fascinating.  Still enjoying this painting immensely and grateful to be back working on a piece that I'm finding it difficult to set the brushes down.

Enjoying the effect the play of blues and yellows is creating!
