I had an amazing time representing my art at LGI Gallery during their Grand Opening last weekend. The event was well attended, beautifully coordinated, and of course the collection of exhibiting art was spectacular. Two of my pieces are now on their way to appreciative homes, and I've been working hard to fill in their spots on the gallery wall. So, I am grateful to say I've finally finished a painting I've been plugging away at for awhile! This is my first diptic, as well as the first painting I've wrapped the image around the sides. I have to say, it was a lot of work, but painting the sides certainly gives the piece an awesome 3D effect.
I worked on four different easel setups, and worked through the full spectrum of daylight, so there are a lot of inconsistencies in lighting and angles, but to give you an idea of how this piece came to life, here are a few of the progress shots of my newest oil painting, Autumn Mornings! Hope you enjoy!
